*water based on plaster*
Mixed media works on canvas or panel, prepared with glue, mesh tape and plaster. The fresco-like surface invites a more immediate response to painting. The plaster drinks in the paint quickly, and creates a lovely history of drips, marks, trials and errors and captures the initial energy and intuitive choices of color, mark making, and intention. The re-moistened plaster mixes in slightly with the pigment, giving it a creamy, soft quality.
